Bobby Lee Smith joined our staff on May 1, 2007.

 

Bobby was a Boys Club member as a child and brings more than 30 yearsexperience as a Club professional to the Boys & Girls Clubs ofMiddle Tennessee. He has been a Unit Director, a Regional ServiceDirector and, most recently, the President/Chief Professional Officerof the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Louisiana.

Throughout his career, Bobby has demonstrated his passion for the kids who needthe Boys & Girls Clubs most and his management skills have resultedin a number of remarkable accomplishments; moving a single unit Clubwith a $65,000 deficit to a multi-unit organization which served twiceas many kids with a budget surplus. As Regional Service Director, heprovided guidance and influence to 32 member organizations inLouisiana, Tennessee and the Virgin Islands on strategic planning,Board volunteer training, resource development audits andorganizational assessments. Moving to New Orleans just weeks prior toHurricane Katrina, he faced the challenges of devastated buildings anddisplaced populations. Under his leadership, four clubs were renovatedor rebuilt and he restored the organization’s image and credibilitywith donors and the public.
