2010 Barn Bash Attracts Record Crowd
On April
9, the second annual Barn Bash was held at the Loveless Barn. The event honored and celebrated the Middle
Tennessee Youth of the Year Denzel Caldwell and the Sydney F. Keeble
Distinguished Service Award winner Scott Portis. WSMV’s Jonathan Martin served
as Master of Ceremonies of this year’s event. We are very grateful to our event
sponsors, attendees, auction donors, and the many volunteers that made this

Dantriel McWilliams
Co-Director, Preston Taylor Club
Dantriel McWilliams is a native of Gary, IN, a city that has been plagued with crime, gang violence, and a lack of positive opportunities. While growing up in the Boys & Girls Club, Dantriel realized his desire to want something more for himself watching his father and his peers take the wrong paths leading to incarceration and even death. Dantriel relocated to Nashville, TN to attend Tennessee State University and graduated with a BS in Social Sciences in the spring of 98.
Dantriel became very instrumental in developing community relationships with local organizations such as the Tennessee Titans to support the growth of youth in Nashville. During the past 10 years, he has developed outreach programs that allowed players and entertainers such as Kenny Holmes, Jevon Kearse, Steve McNair, Samari Rolle, Adam “Pacman” Jones, Keith Bulluck, and Young Buck to make a huge impact in the community. Because of the professional athletes he has worked with, Dantriel is known as "the community playmaker.” Dantriel accepted the 2007 Community Leadership Award from BET, VIBE Magazine, Grassroots Promotions and the T.O.O.L.S. (Teaching on and off the Field Life Skills) program for “making big plays in the community.”
