Where Are They Now?
LaShane Greenhill
Former Thompson Lane Boys & Girls Club Member
President of Pishon Consulting
LeShane Greenhill is currently the president of his own, self-started company, Pishon Consulting. During the ages of eight to 12, LeShane was involved in the summer programs at the Thompson Lane Boys & Girls Club. Running around with his friends, shooting pool and playing ping-pong are some of his fondest memories from his involvement with the Club, but it was also the life lessons and people he met there that made the bigger impact.
One of the junior staff members that worked with the Club had a lasting impression on LeShane as a kid. The staff member took him under his wing and really showed him how to make friends and what being a team player was all about.
It was the friends he made in the Club, which he still keeps in close contact with, that benefited him most. He learned how to make lasting friendships, embrace and care for others and about good sportsmanship and how it translates over to life.
The discipline and structure of the Club also taught him accountability, which has carried over into his professional life in responsibility for family, clients and interactions with day-to-day people.
LeShane was also fortunate enough to come from a strong family background, but learning about different families and life situations, he understood how important the Clubs are in the lives of children.
Throughout his professional and adult life, he has made it a point to be involved in the community, whether it was serving as president of the Nashville Junior Chamber of Commerce or facilitating entrepreneurship programs to help local business owners create a blueprint to start their own business.
The Boys & Girls Clubs mean a lot to LeShane and what he feels is most important is “[To] encourage people to continue to support the Boys & Girls Clubs because if it was not for the Club, the kids would not have a place for positive interactions.”

Carmen Overby
Former Thompson Lane Club Member
2007 Boys & Girls Clubs' Tennessee Youth of the Year
Already into her second year at Austin Peay State University, Carmen Overby has accomplished much. Double majoring in both English and education, with minors in Spanish and international studies, Carmen hopes to teach English in other countries while ministering through travels and teaching.
Even though her studies and maintaining her 4.0 GPA is a time consuming job, Carmen is still dedicating herself to reach out to others by being a resident assistant in the dorms and working as an English and Spanish tutor.
She has recently returned from a summer mission trip to Thailand and will soon be off to Spain to study Spanish.
